I discussed the article with my mom and sister. It was kinda funny! My sister is a psychology grad. and still wondering she's gonna do for her grad. program. looking at the article she better check the payscale website. The part about finding a job like I'm going for was I guess informing. It basically said to find something I'm good at and sell it. Thats exactly what I want to do with schooling from UTI. I'll be able to maybe put my services out there as well as work for a company like MACK or International. The rate of placement was 95% my mom of course like that part a lot.It makes sense to check it out before you sign on the dotted line I know I dont want to go to school just to find out there's no real jobs out there.

Studying math is essential for life. You need math for just about everything. Counting numbers, giving back change, solving story problems, it's all math. We use math without even realizing that we're doing it. At my job right now, I'm a cashier and I have to count back change to customers. In just about every job, you have to have some kind of knowledge about math. Math is the tool and language of success in life. Without math, you can't solve anything and you can't be successful.

My response to this article is that the statistics prove that getting a bachelors degree boost my chances by 84% over my lifetime of getting a higher paying career. Most degrees that require a higher level of math are also paying jobs. But even if math is not for me finishing college will greatly impact my chance of getting a great paying career, compared to a high school graduate and a high school dropout. Moral of the article is even if math is not my thing and I am not that great at it finishing it's still better to get a higher education than a high school diploma. It is everyones best interest to have a productive and lucrative career in the long run. I know myself I want to be 25 and driving a brand new car instead of my parents hand me down car.

We study math because it helps us later in life. It also can help us still be employed and have higher pay then people who don't have degrees. Also, you can get better luxuries and you will be able to get what you want in life. You can have a better life and house and cars. If you have a degree instead of having a sucky car, you can have a sports car like a mustang, Dodge charger, or Camaro. Plus, you may more likely get a job quicker then people with out degrees. That is why we study.

Math is very important to know because some of it relates to your daily life like multiplying, counting, adding, substracting, and dividing. If you dont know how to do any of that, how do you expect to be able to pay your bills, or save your money, or maybe even buy grocerys'? We study math for our knowledge now and for the future because without wed be clueless to every daily life problems including a job.

It is important to study math because it makes you think critically.Math is needed in many jobs for measurements and the use of numbers. My mom is a nurse and she deals with math to figure out the proper amount of medicine to give people. If you don't know math and give people a random amount of medicine they could die from an overdose. You need to know math to pay bills.

I think the article was interesting and agree that learning math is important. We use math in almost everything we do. The article says to study math if you want a good job. However, most of the math classes offered in college are directly related to what you plan to study. So, it would not be too smart to take math classes just because you think you may make more money with them. Additionally, by the time I am finished with college, there might be too many college graduates with math based degrees and I might be one of the unemployed statistics. There may be an article in 5 years saying to take English classes to get a good job.

Very interesting, definitely gives me a new perspective on math. After reading that article I realize how important math can be. But math isn't the only thing that matters when applying for college. I mean most of the courses for college are directly related with what your studying. With this too many people might get math related degrees and I become an unemployed statistic. Anyway my point is that math is important but not the most important.

Why study math, well it's simple. Math is in daily life. Whatever you study now will most likely show up somewhere in your future. And it will help you in your life. Everywhere you work or do there's math. So in actuality, people who don't like or didn't try , they're the ones who are going to struggle. You need math on a daily basic. That's it, bye.

In my opinion whether you like it or not, math is the most helpful subject that you will use in your life. After reading the article it made me realize even more how important math can be in the future. We study math because we use it everyday even though we don't even recognize we are using it. We also study math because it will get you a good job. The article says all but 2 of the top 30 paying jobs require advanced math.Math can also be used in different areas. It isn't just used in all math courses, it is used in just about any science class. Math is essential to daily life, and without it we would be clueless.

Why study math? That's like asking why breath air. You need it for life. People use math everyday in some way, shape, or form. Weather it's measuring flour or weighing something, it's simple math that you need to know in order to function properly in life. Math is also important for jobs. Most jobs, require some type of math, minimal or extream. Especially jobs like accounting or nursing or some type of math teacher. You need math for everyday living, and the world today would be very different if no one studied math.

Math is something we use everyday. It's an everyday use. We need to know math to be able to do almost everything. Everything we do requires some sort of math, whether its simple stuff. People look at math as boring or hard, but in reality, you will use math everywhere. To jobs, cooking, or hobbies, you will no matter what, use math.

The article is interesting and I do agree that math is important in everyday life. its all so very important for some people that are getting there degree in some kind of math or science. I just don't agree that we should all aim for the same jobs. if we aim for the same jobs and get the same degrees then what happens when all the jobs are filled? A lot of people will be unemployed. yes, math is very important and you will get a lot more money if you go for those kinds of careers but we can't all be the same. we should go for things that interest us and that we will be happy to do 6 years down the road and so on.

I do believe that math is important in our everyday life. You need math for almost everything in your life. You should definitely care about math if your looking for certain types of degrees in college. Whatever you are currently studying in math, will most likely pop up in your future. It will help you be what you want to be. Math is way more important than most people think. I think that if we didn't have math we wouldn't be where we are today.

Math is very important. You will use math every day. It may be the simplest form but its still important to your everyday use. People who major in math are more likely to get a higher paying job. My cousin work in New York on Wall Street , hes an account, and he always tells me to do good in math its the most important subject. And seeing his lifestyle it makes me want to do better

The reason we study math is because math is used in our daily lives everyday. Without math we would be living in an unbalanced universe. No one would be able to count, houses would collapse, and we would probably all just steal things because we would not understand how to use money. Everyone would be completely oblivious to what is going on. It would be like we are living in the stone age. The world would not have progressed anywhere it is today and we would all just seem like a bunch of clueless caveman.

Math is very important in everyday life. You can use math to save you money on tons of things. Math is used so much in life that you can't live without it. Being good at math can end up saving you possibly thousands of dollars depending on what you buy. Getting good grades in math classes throughout high school and college could get you a job that pays a bit more than others. People think it is a joke when teachers say you can't live without math, but really any building or technology that you see wouldn't be built without math. So maybe math is a little bit more important than what some people think.

MATH is an important subject to learn. You need it in everyday life. It depends on what type of job you go into to learn certain types of math. You need math in mostly everything you do throughout your life. You do a lot with math everyday and you don't even know it. Math is a subject you need to pass in life. You need to know math to pass all math classes in high school. Which will get you a good degree for whatever you are interested in. With that you are able to make it through life, hopping the economy will be better.

My response to this article is you need math in your life whether you like it or not. You use math every day and you don't even realize it. You use math when you count money, when you cook, when you count calories etc. Math is also important when finding a good paying job because you need to know if you are being paid correctly. I learned that by getting a bachelors degree you can boost your pay 84% more over a lifetime than a high school graduate. Plus, I would much rather be driving my own new car at 25 instead of my parents old run down car any day. You need to know math in order to be successful in life.

I think that this article is 100% right. I've always complained about having to do math, and I have wanted to be a nurse since the fourth grade. My parents told me that math was a big part of nursing. When teachers say that we will use math everyday, and that math is so useful. I never wanted to believe them I just figured that they only said that because it was their job to. But now I know that it can really change my life. I love sport cars and in order to have it I have to be able to have a job as a nurse and be good at math. I guess that's why I'm trying to hard this year. After I read this article I realized that every where I go, everything I do contains math. It all around us in are world today. There is no escaping it. Its best to face it heads on. Math is what makes people successful in life. Now I understand why teachers say how important math it. Or how it's a real world situation

I think that math is very important in everyday life. You need math for almost any job you get, and if you don't use it in your job you will definitely use it in everyday life. But on the other hand, if you don't take all the math classes in college, that doesn't mean that you won't be successful in life. You could only take a few math classes and still get a really good paying job. I don't like math so I'm going to take as little math classes as I have to. I will probably struggle with math in college. Overall you definitely need math if you are going to do the simplest things in life.

Math is an important subject when it comes to learning in school. But for those who think it's a bore is kind of hard to understand. I personally like math. I never liked it until High School began for me. I don't mind it now. Math will never leave us in our life. No matter what we do in life, math will always pop up. But I don't really think it should effect your job decision. Ever since High School started, I've been thinking about either being a photographer, film director, or maybe an art teacher. Although math is important, I believe that it's what we really want to do for the rest of our lives is what should decide how much math we really need to study.

Why do we study math? The reason I think we study math is to help our mind to understand and comprehend equations. We also learn about math to help us in our everyday life. Without math we wouldn't know how to build building's, and to caculate money. If we didnt have some type of math in the world we wouldnt be a functioning community.

"Why do we need to know this?" is the biggest frustration for anyone studying math. Math is a big importance in our lives when you think about it. Math is everywhere around, from counting numbers to shapes. It may be confusing at times but that doesn't mean we don't need to learn it and try to understand it. Math is dealt with regular daily life and work purposes and also for science jobs. Money is the most important by dealing with math in my opinion. You need to know how to count money, how much you need to get back, taxes, bills etc. Math is just a big part of our lives.

The study of math is very important. Math is everywhere and people need to be educated about it. Math makes some tasks easier and math can save you a lot of money! A lot of people wonder why we have to study math in high school. You always hear people complain saying " Oh were never going to use this later in life" but if you really think about it we all use math on a daily basis. If you read the article you would understand how important math is. I mean who wouldnt want to start off with getting paid $35,200 a year? Everyone should read this article and see how important math is in your life.

I think that this site states all the facts needed to succeed in life. They're right as far as needing a job after college, because a majority of college graduates aren't offered any jobs after they're done with school. After reading this article I see now the importance of paying attention in my math classes and to stop being lazy. This article says students who have mathheavy degrees statistics, economics, applied math, physics and finance are proven to get graduates a higher salary. This puts those students above the others just because of their degree in math.

I think people should study math because it is one of the most essential parts of life, for instance jobs like being a meteorologist, and a hospital administrator which are two very important jobs you need math degrees in. and we use math for every day and lifelong functions. you need math to pay your bills, get your change at a restaurant, and you need it when a store has a sale and you want to see how much you got off. and those are just some of the many reasons why we should study math.

People mostly study math because they have too. If it was up to me, I would choose not to use math because you would think that you will never use it again in your whole entire life. But, actually you use math a lot more than you think you do. It is a very important and useful thing to study math. You use math is your everyday activities, and half of the time you don't even notice.

People study math because, math is essential. Without math in our lives we wouldn't be able to count to ten for example. But math isn't for everyone. There are some high paying jobs out there in the world that don't require a bunch of math. For instance the railroad, all you do is drive the train and guide it to safety. Although math is a part of our everyday life it still is important to being successful.

Math is a majorly important subject to learn. According to the article I just read, the better you are at math, the higher paying job is available to you. 28 of the 30 top paying jobs require you take and pass an advanced math class. You need math for many many things. You need math to make sure that the cashier didn't rip you off, and even to bake!

Studying math. Why study math.....Money. Basically what this whole article consisted of was how much money you can make anually if you get a job that math is implicated in. Before you can get a job, though, you have to go to college. In you college major math has to be somewhat heavily included. High school diplomas alone wont allow you to really make any money in this day and age. Jobs such as engineering, includes a lot of math but you can also make a lot of money later on. Futhermore, jobs that have a math major of sorts are in high demand right now and will probably stay that way for a long time.

Math is used in everyday life. It can be used for counting money for the most part. Or even if you are weighing an object. We may use it qnd not even notice. Some people think it's unnecessary to study it cause we wont use it if we have a job. But they are very wrong. You use it literally everyday.
